There are many useful resources that teachers can use in their classroom to make learning fun. Nearpod is a fun interactive tool that can be used by teachers for students. The time used for lesson planning can be cut in half through Nearpod.  Lessons are available for teachers, free or for a low cost. The lessons available can also be used for ideas so teachers can use with their students. Exploring Nearpod gave me some ideas for my future students and classroom that can be fun and engaging. Features included on Nearpod are drawing, filling in the blanks, discussions between peers, voting and polling, and short quizzes. There is even an option for a virtual field trip! I thought that was awesome!

There are many different features and specs that make Nearpod beneficial for teachers. Nearpod can be described best as a useful interactive tool! Teachers can save so much time lesson planning and looking into Nearpod for new creative, activity ideas. Students will be able to participate, and lessons can be engaging for students. When lessons are taught, students can be observed for their actual performance. If teachers are looking for students to answer comprehension questions, students can do so at their free will. It is also discreet to other students. An example is, a student answering a question the teacher asked through a poll. Students can take ownership of their work. Students can be assessed through the quizzes and teachers receive the feedback right away. Teachers will be able to review student progress through the data collected on Nearpod. Teachers and students can go over their progress together. student data is easy to read, and students can visually see their own progress, allowing them to understand it better.

There are also other facets for students to benefit from as well. Students can feel the comfortable to participate and engage in classroom lessons without being put on the spot. Activity slides that are available to children are different, keeping them involved. Other features that may be entertaining for them are videos, pictures, quizzes and polling, and especially the virtual reality aspect making it life like! Students find these interactive learning activities exciting!

Nearpod offers so many ideas, resources and learning activities to assist teachers in the right direction for something new or different. I will share this with some of the teachers I assist where I work at. I eventually would like to implement Nearpod in my own classroom when I become a Diverse Learner Educator.
